April 18, 2025, Foshan — The 42nd China (Foshan) International Ceramic & Bathroom Expo (hereinafter referred to as “Foshan CERAMBATH”) kicked off simultaneously at three venues: Foshan International Convention and Exhibition Center, Foshan China Ceramics City, and Foshan China Ceramics & Bathroom Headquarters. Under the theme of “Innovation,” the event gathered over 800 global brands and 30,000 new products across a 500,000-square-meter exhibition area, solidifying its position as the world’s largest and most influential ceramic industry event.
Amid rising trade barriers and domestic market transformation, the expo focused on diversifying channels and leveraging policy advantages. It introduced an “International Special Session” targeting RCEP countries, Russia, and Eastern Europe, hosting procurement events such as the China-RCEP Ceramic & Bathroom Procurement Conference and the Russia Procurement Festival. These initiatives attracted buyers from Vietnam, the Philippines, and Laos, helping enterprises explore emerging markets. To align with the Canton Fair, the expo extended its duration to April 23 and utilized Google and Facebook for global promotion.
The expo released an “Innovation Declaration,” pledging to reduce carbon emissions through green manufacturing and AI integration. Companies like Dongpeng Holdings showcased eco-friendly technologies, with their “Eco-Stone” cutting carbon emissions by 40% compared to traditional tiles. The integration of online and offline services, including the “DeepSeek” AI customer service and the “Black Card Plan,” enhanced visitor experiences by offering personalized guides and cultural tourism activities.
Foshan Exit-Entry Frontier Inspection Station launched a dedicated service zone, offering tailored customs clearance policies such as “one enterprise, one solution” and 24/7 consultation, facilitating efficient export of “Foshan-made” products. Since 2025, it has handled nearly 300,000 TEUs of cargo, reducing ship clearance time to 1.5 hours. Spanish firm Roca Group, a long-term investor in Foshan, highlighted its smart bathroom production network, reflecting foreign confidence in China’s market.
Chen Xinwen, Vice Mayor of Foshan, emphasized the expo’s evolution into a multidimensional platform combining technology, culture, and trend forecasting. Over 50 forums addressed trillion-yuan markets like urban renewal and cultural tourism, injecting momentum into the industry39. By fostering collaboration with global designers and buyers, Foshan CERAMBATH aims to anchor China’s ceramics in the global value chain.
